We would Like Your Opinion On Raw Diets

The Castle Vets team would like your opinion about raw diets please.

The raw diet debate has been going back and forth in the pet world for many years, and there has been much discussion amongst owners, breeders and vets about whether this way of feeding was good for the animals and provides a balanced diet; we know that pets thrive on raw diets as well as on complete processed diets, but vets all over the country have seen many health problems linked to poor nutrition or hygiene in pets that have been fed a poorly balanced raw meaty bone diet, because it is so easy to get things wrong – and as a profession we also see some problems with dogs that eat animal bones, such as gut impaction and perforated bowels.

However, with the introduction of safe and nutritionally balanced, complete raw diets for pets these views are changing and some of our clients and our staff already feed these diets to their pets with good results. Castle Vets are currently considering whether to stock a high quality raw complete diet for dogs and cats, such as Natural Instinct or Nutriment and we would like to know how many owners are already feeding complete raw diets or are considering feeding raw. We would love to hear opinions from raw feeders and non-raw feeders and, in particular, your views and experience of feeding either of the diets above.

You can add your comments below or send us a private message.
Please could you also share this post amongst your friends so that we can get as many opinions as possible to help us with our decision?
